I recently interviewed for the User Operations - TikTok Live position in Japan and would like to share my detailed experience and insights about the interview process, the role, and the expectations TikTok has for candipublishDates.
Role Overview

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with internal teams from other countries (especially China) to ensure alignment with global strategies.
- Data Analysis: Leveraging internal tools to analyze user behavior and improve engagement strategies.
The Interview Process
The interview process for TikTok, particularly for user operation roles like this one, is known for being thorough, often involving multiple rounds that assess both technical and soft skills. Here’s a breakdown of what I experienced:
1. Initial Screening (HR Interview)
The first step was a phone screen with an HR recruiter. This was a relatively straightforward conversation where I was asked about my background, experience, and motivations for applying to TikTok. The recruiter was keen to understand why I wanted to work at TikTok, particularly in the live-streaming domain.
