I recently interviewed for the Microsoft Market Consultant position at Microsoft, and I’d like to share my experience. This role focuses on providing market insights, strategic recommendations, and competitive intelligence to help Microsoft stay competitive and effectively engage with customers in various markets. The interview process was thorough, testing my analytical skills, industry knowledge, and ability to communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Below is a breakdown of the interview process, key topics covered, and examples of questions I faced.
1. Overview of the Interview Process
The interview process for the Microsoft Market Consultant position typically consisted of several stages:
- Recruiter Call
- Phone Interview 1 (Behavioral and Experience)

Recruiter Call
The first stage in the process was an initial recruiter call.
